Drew Martin
President
Drew has been the President of Mighty Motion Pictures for the past 4 years, prior to that he was founder and President of The Idea Factory! for 13 years.
He began work in television as a Writer, Producer and Director at CFRN Television in Edmonton (CTV) and then he acted as the Head of the commercial production department at CBC Television.
Over the past 20 years Drew has Executive Produced and Produced hundreds of hours of programming that has aired nationally in Canada. Drew has Produced for all of the major television networks and station groups in Canada, namely, CBC, Global, CTV, CHUM, and Craig Broadcasting (A Channels) and has provided programming for several of the Specialty and Cable networks such as HGTV, YTV, Life Network, Prime, Star, Bravo, Movie Central, W (Women's Television Network), and CBC Newsworld. He has worked with several educational broadcasters such as ACCESS, CLT (Canadian Learning Television), SCN (Saskatchewan Communications Network), and The Knowledge Network as well as the NFB (National Film Board of Canada) and the Christian Broadcasting networks Crossroads Television, The Miracle Channel, i-Life TV, NRB Network, Kids & Teens Television, Faith TV, Cornerstone TV, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Total Living Network, Inspiration Network, New Life Channel (Russia) and Angel TV (Singapore). His programs have also aired on PBS and Discovery Channels in the United States and have been distributed internationally.
Drew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta and an Honours Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Radio and Television Arts. He also has a Diploma from The Word of Faith Leadership and Bible Institute of Dallas, Texas.
Drew regularly attends NATPE, The Banff Television Festival, MIPCOM, NRB and ICVM each year to arrange co-productions and to sell programs worldwide to broadcast and non-broadcast markets. Drew is the former Vice President of the Alberta Motion Picture Industry Association and a member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
